Learnship is pleased about your visit and your interest in the Learnship services. The learnship training courses (“corporate training courses”) are primarily provided for companies and their employees. However, individuals can also attend corporate training through Learnship.

 

The protection of your personal data is important to us and we want you to feel safe when visiting our website and using our company training. We observe the German data protection laws (Telemediengesetz TMG and Bundesdatenschutzgesetz BDSG) and the data protection regulations of the European Union, in particular the general data protection regulation 2016/679 (DSGVO). In the following we explain to you what information we collect, process and use during your visit to our website and during your use of the company training (“data processing”).

Purpose of data processing

We use personal data for the individual design and improvement of your company training courses as well as for contractual processing, especially payment. We use them to communicate with you, to update our data records and to improve our platform, to prevent or detect misuse, in particular fraud, or to enable third parties to perform technical or other services on our behalf.

We collect and process information that you enter on our website, including our learning platform, or that you provide to us in some other way.

 

Contact form

By sending the contact form on the website, the first and last name, the telephone number and the e-mail address as well as other voluntary information about the company and training requirements are mandatory. We process this information in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR and take particular account of your interest in information.

 

Corporate training

In order to be able to use the company training courses, you will have online access to the Learnship platform at the start of the course to store your identification data (name, email, telephone number). A separate member area can be created there. A profile can be created for each user of the company training, the data of which can be managed in a password-protected area. In addition, you will be provided with a free text field for your own presentation and the option to upload a profile picture. We pay particular attention to your interest in efficient training in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

In addition, we store the participants’ grading, learning progress and survey results. For participants from corporate training, companies, profit centers, positions and contact details of the contact persons in the company are also processed. If you interact with our customer service, we store and process your identification data and information about the case. This is done for the implementation of the training contract.

 

Payment Information

If you pay by credit card, we use a service provider to carry out the training contract to complete this transaction. The service provider collects and processes your credit card information.

Information that your employer gives us

We process information that your employer sends us when he has booked a company training course for you or creates a profile for you on the Learnship platform. In doing so, take particular account of your interest in efficient training in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Automatic information

As soon as you visit the website, we process automatic information in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. These are in particular cookies and log files or access data. You can find more information on this below.

Quality assurance measures

For quality assurance and development of our trainers, we may visit trainings with individuals and / or groups according to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We do not record the session. We will inform you at the beginning of such a visit. If you decline the visit, it will not take place.

Cookies

We use cookies. Cookies are pieces of information that web pages store on your computer. They are used to save log information and other data. We use cookies to make our services more user-friendly, effective and safer. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies” and are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Our cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain any viruses. You can prevent the storage of cookies by choosing the respective settings in your browser software and by deactivating the use of cookies. You may then not be able to use all the features of the website.

Log files, access data

We automatically collect and process information that your browser transmits to us. These are: browser type / version, information about the screen size, operating system used, the page visited before, hostname of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server request. These data are used anonymously for statistical evaluations for purposes of operation, security and optimization of the service. Learnship reserves the right to review log information about the last known IP address later from users, members or providers who appear to have breached the law or contracts when using the Learnship service. This data is automatically deleted after six months.

Conclusion of a contract on training services

If you enter into a contract with us for yourself or for your employer regarding the provision of training services (“contract”), we will process your data for the purpose of establishing, implementing and eventually terminating the contract.

 

Provision of training services

We process your data to provide you with training services.

Your data is only accessible to you, as well as to Learnship employees (especially IT staff), Learnship trainers and the personnel department of your employer, if applicable. A closed user group is set up for learning groups from the same company. Members of such a user group can see the respective profile, the place of residence, the country and a short self-portrayal of the other group members. We can disclose your data, especially classification, learning progress and survey results to your employer, if your employer is our customer.

Anonymized user information can be used for statistical evaluation, quality assurance and market research.

Transfer of your data

Except for the described transfer to your employer, we do not pass on your data to third parties. We are obliged to cooperate with authorities, in particular law enforcement agencies and courts. In this context, we may be required to forward personal data to respond to queries from such authorities or courts.

Google Analytics Provider

The website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally processed on a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Commissioned data processing

We have entered into an agreement with Google for commissioned data processing and are fully implementing the guidelines of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

IP anonymization

We use the “Activation of IP anonymization” function on the website. This will shorten your IP address by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other countries which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Google will use this information on behalf of Learnship to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the activities on the website and to provide other services connected with your use and the internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Use of the newsletter service provider “Hubspot”

From time to time, we send newsletters with information relevant to customers and interested parties using the Hubspot platform of the US supplier Hubspot, 25 First Street, 2nd Floor, Cambridge, MA 02141,
United States (“Hubspot”). You can object to the use of your data at any time, without costs arising by virtue thereof, other than transmission costs pursuant to the basic rates.

Storage in the US

The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as further data as described in this section, are stored on the servers of Hubspot in the USA. Hubspot uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. In addition, Hubspot can use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimization of the dispatch and the presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Hubspot does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write it itself or pass it on to third parties.

Right of access and modification of the personal data; complaint

At any time, you have the right free of charge to be informed about your stored personal data. By logging in with your e-mail address and password, you have access to the data, information and content stored under your profile. You may update, add or delete your personal data on your profile at any time. You can object to processing. You also have the right to data portability. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Retention period

We store your personal data only for as long as the purpose requires it.

Your master data will be deleted upon termination of the contract, unless further storage is required by law.

In the case of violations of the general terms and conditions, the terms of use or legal provisions as well as in case of infringement of the rights of third parties, we have the right to process master data beyond the termination or blocking of the user profile for a reasonable period until the facts are clarified.

If you submit information to us in a contact form, we only retain it for as long as the information exchange can reasonably be expected. Cookies expressly stipulate their duration.

Security

Your profile is password-protected, so that the personal data stored therein can only be edited by you. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone else and protect it against unauthorized access by third parties. In particular, you should leave all e-mails and other messages or pop-ups asking for your password unanswered. In order to avoid unauthorized access to your user profile, we also recommend that you always log out after you visit your user profile and close the browser window.
